SOSU COMPLETE CONTOUR PALETTE

I am very late to the party.

Today, I did a little makeup haul and picked up Suzanne Jackson's contour kit, highlight kit and new Hot Fire smokey eyeshadow palette. They are all pretty damn amazing. So, I decided I'd give 'em a review one at a time, starting with the contour kit.

As always, I'll be brutally honest with everything I review. I don't like to waste money, so why should anyone else?
But yep, this contour kit is FAB. I'm not usually an avid user of cream contours, I have to say. I like to get ready FAST, so powders are usually my go-to, which this palette also includes.

I'll get down to it.
The shades are perfect for my skin tone, and I feel like they'd be pretty good for anyone. I used shade 1 for highlight (as I need the palest thing I can find!) and shade 2 for contour. But, I also used shade 4 for my base foundation because it matched up with my tan really well today. Darker skinned people could consider using shade 4 for highlight and shade 2 for contour. The cream shades are veeerrry creamy which I like because they are easier/faster to use then, and I'm not spending 20 minutes blending in my contour. I would, however, use a mattifying primer if you have oily skin because you want the creams to sit well and oil will prevent this from happening.

I used a flat, square foundation brush to apply, and a SOSU beauty blending sponge to blend together.

~sorry for the nightmares~

I usually use RCMA setting powder all over my face, but I set the creams with shades 3 & 6 which are perfect matches for them. I was really surprised by shade 5 also, as it is a cream highlighter (which are hard to get right!) because not only is it super pigmented, but it's thick enough to keep the pigment in place. Sometimes with liquid highlighters, they lose pigment when blended.

So, once I set it and popped a bit of shade 5, the cream highlighter, onto my cheekbones (with my ring finger), I then dipped into the SOSU highlight kit and uuuuhhhhhhhh I am NEVER going to use any other highlighters ever again (pinch of salt with that one). But holy moly, the pigment is alive

Unicorn Dust with a small eyeshadow blending brush for maximum pigment concentration on the skin. I hate fan brushes. I lose too much product to them.

And that's it, really. It's a super quick process with this palette and I put that down to the ease of it.
The creams are very pigmented & easy to blend, the powders match the creams, shade 4 worked as my foundation (bonus?!), and the cream highlighter is beautiful. That's my entire base done before the added accessories like blush and extra highlighter. Very much worth the price (ranging from €28-€29.95 I have noticed, depending on the stockist), and yes I bought this so I am neither paid to promote this nor was I gifted this product.
I'd say this will be my future nighttime contouring routine as I tend to stick with powders during the day for a less dramatic contour (daylight and all that).

Next up is the SOSU iridescent highlighter kit!
Glow, baby, glow.

Besos,
Rosee.
